Out of all the Dream Friends being added to Kirby Star Allies, none more than this Dream Land 2 bunch got me absolutely excited. The trio of Animal Buddies defined the classic Game Boy title that was my entry into the franchise, and now they’re finally back in action and you can check them out in a new video:
What gets me is just how true to form they are. Various abilities are back, with Rick + Stone being a personal favorite. Even without Kirby rolling along on top of him it’s still absolutely adorable. They even kept the way Kine freezes himself if using the Ice power for too long!
I couldn’t be happier that the group’s back together and coming soon to Star Allies. They, along with Marx and Gooey, will arrive on the Switch via a free update on March 28th.
