While the Nintendo Switch supports several major game development platforms already, from Unreal Engine 4 to Unity, it has been missing out on games from the more accessible GameMaker Studio. Thankfully, that’ll be changing this summer.

Coinciding with the announcement of Undertale yesterday, which was built using GameMaker, YoYo Games has confirmed a partnership with Nintendo to make the platform compatible with Switch by this summer.

This likely means Undertale will launch in the summer or later, something that’s made more apparent by a cute and bizarre quote from creator Toby Fox himself: “I’m excited to use GameMaker Studio 2 to put Undertale on Nintendo Switch. I’m a big fan of Nintendo. I hope Mario plays my game.”
