Last week we got a Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition trailer that focused on characters introduced in the Nintendo 64 games, with the exception of Game Boy denizen Marin. Now another trailer has been released, moving us forward a generation into the era of the Great Sea.

Toon Link has a moveset primarily based on the DS games, while King Daphnes and Medli have Wind Waker-inspired moves. Then there’s Tetra who rocks very piratical flintlock pistol and cutlass combo. It looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see more of the spectral Toon Zelda, however.

Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition releases for the Nintendo Switch in Japan on March 22nd and across the rest of the world this Spring.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
