The annual DICE awards have wrapped up and it was a fantastic night for Nintendo, with the company raking in trophies for a variety of games released in 2017.

The ceremony, held by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences in Las Vegas, has awards doled out based on votes from Peer Panelists from the game industry. You can check out the nominees here, while the all-important Nintendo victors are listed below:

  • Game of the Year – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • Outstanding Achievement in Game Design – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • Mobile Game of the Year – Fire Emblem Heroes
  • Handheld Game of the Year – Metroid: Samus Returns
  • D.I.C.E. Sprite Award – Snipperclips
  • Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year – Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
  • Racing Game of the Year – Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Family Game of the Year – Snipperclips
  • Adventure Game of the Year – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design – Super Mario Odyssey

Finally, Genyo Takeda, who helped shaped development of the Nintendo 64, GameCube and Wii, not to mention producing Punch-Out!! and StarTropics, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Considering he retired from Nintendo last year it’s a fantastic swan song for one of the company’s most important figures!
