The vibrantly goofy Adventure Pals from the UK-based developer Massive Monster is the latest Kickstarted indie to get a Nintendo Switch port announcement. Initially funded way back in August of 2016, the game received the finishing touches a short while ago and is currently waiting on confirmation from the various platform holders before it pops up for sale.

Pretty clearly inspired by the likes of Adventure Time and Banjo Kazooie, The Adventure Pals follows a young boy who heads out with his giraffe friend, who naturally hangs out in his backpack, on a quest to stop the evil Mr. B from turning his dad into a hot dog. At its core the game is a platformer, though there are numerous quests, minigames and towns to discover. Check out some recent gameplay from the PS4 version below:

We should see the Nintendo Switch version launch soon enough so be sure to keep an eye on the eShop if you want to go on a wacky adventure!

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
