Harvest Moon: Light of Hope has received an upgrade with “Special Edition” added to its title and an estimated release date. Originally released in November 2017 on Steam for PC, Light of Hope still had a few check boxes to tick off. The game was still being planned for release on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 while it was out on the first platform. After all that waiting, it looks like the title is just about finished, as Natsume has shared new information today:

It’s time to circle the month of May and wait for Natsume to tease fans over the next few months about what makes this game special. In the meantime, you can play the guessing game to try to figure out which plushified critter will be joining you on your adventure to restore a lighthouse, and inadvertently, the rest of the island.

While an exact date in May hasn’t been provided yet, it might be helpful to keep in mind that the game was originally announced on May 17th, 2017. To come full circle, perhaps we’ll see the game offered on Switch on May 17th this year — or at least maybe it’ll happen within a week of that date.
