Lizardcube, the developer behind Wonderboy: The Dragon’s Trap, has posted a new developer blog post revealing that its game will be getting a physical release on both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

The physical copy of the game will be available on February 13th.

This version of the game will come with some wonderful new extras:

  • Reversible cover art –  The cover art of the game is sourced and printed from the original Game Gear box art courtesy of the creator of the Wonder Boy series, Mr. Nishizawa.
  • A Lizard-Man PVC cell phone strap.
  • A full-color instruction booklet – (It’s hard enough getting an instruction booklet at all, especially one in full color!)
  • A mini-CD featuring the best tracks from the game – 12 tracks based on the original Shinichi Sakamoto melodies and reimagined by Michael Geyre for the modern release.

To make sure you get these launch edition extras, you would have to pre-order the game at Amazon, Best Buy, or GameStop.

Sadly, this game will not be available in Europe as of now. Headup Games is working on publishing the physical release in Europe and an exact date will be announced at a later time. We’ll keep you posted, Europe!

If this is something you’re looking for, make sure to get your pre-order in.
