Nintendo consoles continue to fly off the shelves. 1.5 million Switch consoles were sold in December, outselling all other systems. In total, the Switch has shipped more than 4.8 million units in the US since its March 3rd launch.

And that’s not the only good news for our favorite gaming company, as the 3DS continues to fly off shelves, selling 750,000 units in December 2017. Interestingly, this marked the best month for the 3DS since December 2014. Overall, the 3DS family has sold more than 21 million units in the US.

Nintendo had six games in the top 16 of the sales chart for December, including Super Mario Odyssey at number three and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe coming in the fourth slot. In total, it was an extremely successful holiday season for the Big N, with console and game sales both performing incredibly well.
