Wanting even more JRPG goodness on your Nintendo Switch? Well you’re in luck, as industry veterans Falcom are bringing the well received Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana to the system.

Released in the west last year by NIS America for PS4 and Vita, Ys VIII features the franchise’s typical frantic action-packed combat as you explore a mysterious island and build a new settlement with fellow shipwrecked survivors.

The original localization was criticized for an iffy translation but NISA will be releasing a completely redone version at the end of this month. This is almost certainly what we’ll see in the Switch version from launch.

We’ll be sure to bring more on Ys VIII as we approach the game’s Switch release this summer.
