The Game Boy is a system with countless great games, with Nintendo’s ever-lasting mascot Mario featuring in more than a few of them. One of the most memorable is Super Mario Land 2, which followed up the rather bizarre first game with a more traditional adventure.

Unfortunately, as it’s a 1992 title, it’s not possible to play the game with too many colors, and it never saw the Game Boy Color re-release treatment like Tetris and Link’s Awakening DX. Thankfully, hacker toruzz has got us covered.

His Super Mario Land 2 DX hack not only makes the game more colorful but it also lets you play as Luigi with different physics. If you’re willing to jump through the hoops to get it working, it’s definitely a fun way to experience the game again.
