Square Enix’s upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive Project Octopath Traveler is already shaping up to be a very unique yet nostalgic experience, blending modern lighting and effects with classic pixel art. Even the music seems to be poised to reflect this, keeping the bombastic melodies of classic JRPGs but performed by a full orchestra with some electric guitar accompaniment.

According to the company, the game’s music recording is now complete, and a new video has been released showcasing one of the Yasunori Nishiki composed tracks alongside some battle footage. Check it out:

Project Octopath Traveler has yet to get a solid release date, or even a finalized name, but you can download a demo via the Nintendo Switch eShop now to get an idea of how the game plays.
