While Valve has generally moved away from game development to focus on its immensely popular Steam platform, its properties are still golden in the hearts of gamers, with Portal quickly becoming an iconic franchise after its release in 2007. Now, it’s heading to Switch, albeit not in the way you’d expect.

Valve is teaming up with Headup Games and ClockStone Software to mash up the Bridge Constructor series with Portal. In case you’re unfamiliar, Bridge Constructor is just what it sounds like – you build bridges that pass various challenges, blending physics manipulation with puzzle game elements. It’s worth noting this isn’t the first appearance of Portal on a Nintendo system – Lego Dimensions had a themed set and released on Wii U, after all.

Bridge Constructor Portal launches for the Switch in 2018, following a PC release this December 20th.
