There’s nothing quite like fighting games, and that means there’s nothing quite like EVO. The world’s biggest tournament for these one-on-one slugfests has been a Las Vegas standard for several years now, but during this year’s event it was announced that EVO would also be coming to Japan in January 2018. With Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and ARMS both making the cut, Nintendo fans can look forward to some great moments and matches. In the meantime, check out the new trailer to get excited for the upcoming competition.

Players will spend the first two days in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City, while grand finals will be in Akihabara. Both spots are perfect for the event, full of gaming culture and history to support the lineup of titles. You can catch all the action starting January 26th.
