It’s been a long time coming but Nintendo fans will soon be able to play Yooka-Laylee. Playtonic has announced via their official blog that the Switch version will land on December 14th, with eShop pre-orders opening on the 7th.

Yooka-Laylee is a throwback to classic Nintendo 64 platformers like Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64, with several members of staff at Playtonic being former Rare employees. The Switch version promises to have Joy-Con multiplayer, a custom achievement system and all of the post-launch updates other versions have seen so far.

We’ll be sure to bring more Yooka-Laylee Switch coverage as we approach release!
