Super Mario Odyssey’s a game I thought I’d already seen everything from, but a new glitch has come to light via the game’s two player mode. Twitter user @NichtSascha captured this moment, which involves tossing Cappy at a Piranha Plant and then using the hat to take out said sharp-toothed vegetation while Mario’s still controlling it. We set out to test the glitch to figure out why Mario is missing, and managed to replicate it after a bit of effort. This can be seen in the video above.

It looks like an easy enough glitch to recover from, just requiring warping away to a checkpoint to bring Mario back. That said, it may offer some interesting adventures all their own once Cappy cuts loose.
