As announced earlier in the week, Breath of the Wild’s latest patch has dropped for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U versions, containing not only support for the Champion amiibo but also the free Xenoblade Chronicles 2 quest and Rex outfit. For those holding out hope that the Champion’s Ballad DLC Pack would be out this Friday due to the next amiibo wave, then sadly those hopes may be dashed. We grabbed the patch notes earlier this morning from Nintendo’s “How to Update” page before they were pulled, check them out below:
- Added support for the Revali / Daruk / Urbosa / Mipha amiibo
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2 side quest and collaboration equipment added
- Fixed an issue with Hero’s Path Mode in which “x marks” weren’t recorded with version 1.3.0 or later
- Various fixes to improve the gameplay experience
If you were lucky enough to receive the new amiibo a day early, you can scan in Revali, Daruk, Urbosa and/or Mipha now. Meanwhile, if you’re in it for the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 content, get ready to watch the stars.
