I don’t get up at six in the morning for just anything, so Nintendo should feel pleased that their Directs manage to get multiple alarms set from me. I was still wiping the sleep from my eyes at the start of it, but thankfully the new character trailer that the presentation opened with is available to view separately.
Only available with Japanese voice over, it expectedly introduced me to the game’s core party. What I didn’t expect was to meet so many other characters in rapid fire succession. Ranging from clear antagonists to morally ambiguous royalty, with some rival swordsmen to tie the whole ensemble together, it’s got me excited to see how the story unfolds in this beautiful looking world above the clouds.
