You may have another option to play your very favorite cooking game soon, as developer Team17 has decided to make Overcooked: Special Edition available as a physical release in the UK come 2018, alongside several other games for various platforms.
Team17 have announced a bunch of new retail releases:
– Yoku's Island Express for PS4, Switch and Xbox One
– Genesis: Alpha One for PS4 and XB1
– Overcooked for Switch

That’s right: You’ll have the opportunity to slice, dice and scurry around cooking delicious meals all while facing uncanny obstacles in the “kitchen” — from slipping and sliding on ice to prep meals to serving your customers in the middle of a sea of lava, you’ll be able to continue your adventure through cart form on the Switch. And if you haven’t yet dived into the world of innovative broiling, boiling and baking, then we highly suggest you dust off your chef’s hat and place an order for this beauty of a title once it’s released.
There’s no word yet on an exact launch date for the physical release, and there’s currently no information about it making its way to the US — but we’re crossing our fingers it happens. Stay tuned, because we’ll be bringing you all the scrumptious details once they’re made available.
