While they aren’t going to make it in time for any spooky Halloween hijinks, both Resident Evil Revelations games will be scaring up a storm on the Nintendo Switch at the end of next month. That said, Resident Evil is known for having a lighter tone sometimes (looking at you, tofu mode) and this re-release is no exception.

Two tweets from the franchise’s official account reveal that two minigames will be available in the Switch version, and the wording makes it sound like they’ll be exclusive. First up is the initial load screen minigame for the first game, which is a simple light-gun style shooter. Nice to see a developer finally putting that expired Namco patent to work.

As for Resident Evil Revelations 2, you’ll be able to dive into a throwback to Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, retitled “Ghouls ‘n Homunculi”. You’ll play as franchise favorite Barry Burton as you battle through the monsters to save your daughter. This minigame will be an unlockable secret in Raid Mode.

Both minigames will net you BP for Raid Mode, so it’s worth giving them a go. Resident Evil Revelations 1 + 2 will launch for the Switch on November 28 in North America and Europe.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
