Earlier this year Archie ended its 24 year relationship with Sega and cancelled its long-running Sonic comic. A few days later, a new partnership was confirmed, this time with the publishing behemoth that is IDW.

At New York Comic Con the company is sharing the first tidbits of info regarding the series via a flyer on the showfloor. Thanks to Twitter user Linkabel we can take a closer look.
 

 

That artwork may seem familiar as it’s by Tyson Hesse, the artist behind Sonic Mania’s various animated cutscenes and several Archie Sonic comics. Needless to say, the art is in good hands.

So there you have it; IDW will begin its publishing run for the blue hedgehog in April of next year.
