The official North American Super Mario Odyssey website is now open and within it is some brand new information about how amiibo will function in the game. The wedding themed Mario, Peach and Bowser amiibo not only unlock a special wedding themed outfits for each character, but also provide useful power-ups as well. Mario gives temporary invincibility, Peach grants the player a Life-Up Heart and Bowser reveals the location of regional coins.
It has also been confirmed that Super Mario Odyssey will support every other amiibo figure as well. Some of these amiibo will unlock special outfits, while others provide some level of in-game help. You can check out the official Super Mario Odyssey amiibo page for even more details.
