Months after the Nintendo World Championships of 2015, an edited version of the event appeared one evening on the Disney Channel. After taking its time with planning the next Nintendo World Championships, it looks like the Disney Channel will be hosting the event live this time! Thanks to Disney Channel’s gaming block, D|XP, there will be a special presentation of the Nintendo World Championships 2017.

Despite marketing it as a live TV event for this Saturday, we have yet to see it listed on TVGuide.com or find it officially listed on D|XP’s Twitch stream schedule. For the time being, the event may be broadcasted and/or streamed live on TV, Twitch and YouTube under the D|XP branding.

We’ll update the article accordingly when official times and listings are announced.

Until then, we’re only a few days away from this test and trial of Nintendo gaming. Who are you rooting for to claim, or reclaim, that Golden Mario statue?
