This fall is looking to be a shmup fan’s dream come true as a duo of incredible indie shooters blast their way onto Nintendo Switch!

Dimension Drive

First up is 2Awesome Studios’ ode to the ’80s arcade cabinet and addictive looking space shooter, Dimension Drive. This vertical scrolling, bullet hell baby set in a comic book universe has pilots masterfully shifting between dual playing fields in frantic fashion. It’s practically like playing two games at once! Best of all, it can be enjoyed solo or with a buddy in tow, where both players share everything down to their last lives.

Earth Atlantis

Pixel Perfex’s Earth Atlantis, on the other hand, sees seafaring adventurers submerged on the hunt for deadly sea monsters as they explore a gorgeously hand-drawn, post-apocalyptic underwater world. Its unique, parchment scribbled aesthetic has this shmup fan personally hooked, which I urge anyone remotely interested in the genre to check out in the latest trailer below.

Both Dimension Drive and Earth Atlantis are slated for Switch sometime this fall. We’ll be sure to keep you updated the moment we receive some more solid release dates.
