Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which will be out later this year, secured about an hour of gameplay during today’s Gamescom livestream. In this showcase we get to see Rex, Tora and Nia paired with their Blades in Bluestep Ditch. All are level 21 and are ready to take on local wildlife. We finally get a good look at the game’s battle system and UI.
You’ll see that blade character attacks are on the righthand side of the screen, while arts are located on the left. Scattered throughout the area is loot, via collection markers.
Also worth noting: You get to see Rex and the crew accept a quest, and the stream ended with the players discovering Fonsa Myma, one of the many towns in the game.
