Hot off the heels of Sonic Mania’s successful release comes a pair of videos for the Blue Blur’s other new game coming this year. Sonic Forces is not only letting you run through stages as your own custom character, but apparently you can swap between them and Sonic himself in the middle of the action. This Tag Gameplay calls to mind Sonic Heroes in a way, though with the variety of different weapons (including the just-revealed Cube hammer) shown for the Hero Character.

The other addition is another music track from the game, this time in the form of a remix of a Sonic CD song. When that game was released there were two versions of its score, one for Japan and Europe and the other for the US version of the game. Usually it’s the Japanese/European version that gets a little more attention in game, but this time around we have a new take on the US version of Stardust Speedway’s “Bad Future.” This one’ll be playing when you encounter Metal Sonic in-game, one of several returning antagonists in Forces.

You’ll be able to see and hear a lot more when Sonic Forces releases on Switch this holiday season.
