Nintendo’s Gamescom stream is currently well under way, with various upcoming games getting the spotlight. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, which is out in just under a week, just got its segment, with the developers at Ubisoft running through a spooky world.

While a lot of what they showed was interesting, a small tidbit that stood out was the appearance of a Splinter Cell-themed “Grenaduck”, one of Rabbid Yoshi’s side weapons. Called Sam Kingfisher after the franchise’s protagonist Sam Fisher and wearing his iconic green goggles, the ducky is even described a secret spec ops agent.

Of course this opens the flood gates to all sorts of other Ubisoft references. Will we see nods to Beyond Good & Evil? Rayman? Even Assassin’s Creed? We’ll just have to wait and see when Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle launches on August 29th.
