During this year’s Nindies Showcase, one of the games that really got my attention was Stardew Valley. I’d heard plenty about the farm sim before we learned it was coming to a Nintendo platform, but with it being the debut system for the game’s multiplayer, it makes sense that there’d be a lot to work out before we’d have it on Switch. With summer winding down, some more eager fans took to Twitter to see what the status on the game is.

Developer Tom Coxon made it clear that the team wants to hold off on giving a date until it knows for sure the game is ready for release. While it does make waiting more difficult, I stand by believing it’s better than dealing with a potential delay. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see when we’ll be able to make a name for ourselves in our new, pixelated lives in the Valley.
