This summer Nintendo has been all about the competitive scene, releasing the well-regarded newcomer ARMS in June and following it up with the fan-favorite Splatoon 2 just a few weeks ago. Now two new pieces of artwork have been released for each game, via their Japanese social media pages…

In the ARMS image, we see Helix look on as two children drink “Helix Juice”, which is hopefully a licensed product and not the horrifying truth of what happens to his brethren.

As for Splatoon 2, we see Pearl and Marina preparing for the next Splatfest – Mayo vs. Ketchup. The copious amounts of mayo could turn off even the most die-hard fans of the condiment, though I’m sure some people will have opinions about Marina taking photos of her food…

The summer of competitive games will be capped off this September with Pokkén Tournament. Will you be joining the action?

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
