All the way back in 1985, a quirky arcade game featuring a selection of five animals tossing balls back and forth across a table was released. Penguin Wars started in Japanese arcades and it made its way to both the NES and Game Boy later in the same year. Now, 32 years after first appearing, Penguin Wars is returning, this time on the Nintendo Switch, according to a report in the latest issue of Famitsu. (Discovered by Gematsu.)
According to developers, the title will serve as a remake with the classic gameplay style where players attempt to toss ten balls across a table as quickly as possible. No word yet on an official release date, but development is reportedly well underway. Stay tuned!
