To celebrate over a year of Pokémon GO, Niantic is currently putting on a global event this weekend titled Pokémon GO Fest, with the main action taking place in Chicago’s Grant Park today. Trainers will be working together to complete all sorts of challenges, with the main draw being the unlocking of the game’s very first Legendary. If the trainers in Grant Park defeat it, it’ll start appearing in Raid Battles across the world.

You can check out the stream below:

Early on, though, it has been reported that the game is experiencing problems. Apparently two are crash bugs that Niantic is working to fix ASAP, while another problem is on the side of one service provider, which will be piping in more bandwidth soon.

We’ll be sure to bring more on Pokémon GO as the event continues.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
