Meet Team Blue Ringed Octolings, the 2017 AUNZ Splatoon Cup Grand Final champions. These four will be representing Australia and New Zealand’s competitive Splatoon scene and maybe will win the coveted prize, a Splatoon 2 trophy.

SpongeBev, hailing from Melbourne, shared that his favorite game mode is Splat Zones. Wonder how many times he has had to deal with overtime… Madi-Kuma, from Invercargill, may be a big Splatoon fan, but Super Mario Bros. is her first game. Without that who knows if she’d be throwing down Killer Wails today!

All the way from Perth, Latias is a bit of a Chargers fan – the weapon class and not the sports team. Since Desailly over on Team Rising Moon has a love for these as well, it’ll be interesting to see who comes out on top. Meanwhile BickiBird, an Octobrush wielding machine from Perth, shares what her first console was – the SNES. Maybe after the tournament Nintendo can let her test out that rumored SNES Classic Mini that many Nintendo fans are hoping to be true.

We’re down to one more team to learn about – the mysterious Deadbeat representing the United States! We’ll be sure to let you know when their video goes live.
