Gust’s Nights of Azure 2 was one of many Japan-developed Switch games announced during April’s Nintendo Direct, though its style definitely set it apart.

Before that announcement, however, the game was confirmed for both PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, but if you’re worried about a delayed port there’s no need – the Switch version will launch day-and-date with those versions in Japan on August 31st. A brand new trailer also accompanies this announcement, which you can watch below:

After the first Nights of Azure launched in Japan in October 2015, it took just under 6 months for the game to head west, so it might be worth expecting a similar wait for the sequel’s localization. We’ll be sure to let you know when more information is made available.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
