Planning on going digital with Splatoon 2 when it launches in July? We finally have confirmation of the game’s file size, and it’s looking pretty good for those of you who are still using up the Switch’s internal storage.

According to the game’s Amazon Japan listing, it will take up at least 5.5 GB. While small compared to a lot of contemporary games, it’s still a leap over the original Splatoon which required 1.8 GB at launch.

In an unusual turn, as reported by Kotaku, Nintendo of Japan is also releasing a digital code for the game in a physical box, presumably for collectors. We’ll just have to wait and see if this becomes more common with future titles.

Splatoon 2 launches worldwide on July 21st, 2017.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
