Out of the many, many Lego games to have released in the past decade, Lego Marvel Super Heroes stood out as an endearing and enjoyable love-letter to the greater Marvel universe. Now, after the slightly disappointing movie tie-in Lego Marvel’s Avengers, Traveller’s Tales are returning to their own unique take on those characters (via BusinessWire).

In Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, players will explore a new hub world – Chronopolis. The main villain will be Kang the Conqueror and players will adventure through several time periods, from Ancient Egypt to the Old West, and even New York in 2099. Other characters mentioned include Cowboy Captain America, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Spider-Man 2099, the Guardians of the Galaxy and more.

There will also be a four player multiplayer mode which can be co-operative or competitive.

A November release has been confirmed for PS4, Xbox One and PC, while a Switch version is slated for “this holiday.” A full length trailer is scheduled to land on May 23rd and we’ll be sure to let you know when it’s live.
