UPDATE: The official Thumper Twitter account has confirmed a worldwide Switch release for the game on May 18th!

One of the most intriguing games heading to the Nintendo Switch that hasn’t received too much fanfare is Thumper, an action-rhythm title from indie studio Drool. Originally released on PS4 and PC in October of last year, the game was announced for Nintendo’s latest system shortly after it launched back in March.

Now we finally have a date for its eShop release, at least in Australia and the UK. Players should be able to travel down psychedelic tunnels as a scarab on May 18th. It’s listed for $29.95 AUD, which equates to around $22 USD.

We’ll be sure to let you know as and when a North American release date is confirmed.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
