UPDATE: According to Axiom Verge Marketing Specialist Dan Adelman, the game is not confirmed for the Switch at this time. Sorry for the confusion.

Looks like fans of Tom Happ’s critically lauded Metroidvania platformer didn’t have to wait long for that green light confirmation, as Axiom Verge is officially glitching its way to the Nintendo Switch sometime in the near future!

Tom Happ himself — game creator and Sudra overlord — confirmed the news late last night in an interview with World 1-1 while discussing the making of Axiom Verge and the challenges of porting between multiple platforms. Happ also revealed the team is pushing for a retail release similar to the Wii U version announced a few months ago, shooting for the inclusion of a physical manual, the making of documentary and a copy of Verge’s bombastic soundtrack.

No release date has been given as of yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop the moment more information drops.
