Earlier this month Nintendo released their latest home console – the Nintendo Switch. Now all eyes are on the company to deliver the goods this June at E3. Early adopters are wondering what kind of games and software they will be getting in the latter half of 2017, while those who are still on the fence want to see if the console will be a worthwhile investment.

Needless to say, this E3 is especially important to Nintendo. Thankfully, according to Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aimé, the company is ready to bring out the big guns this year for both the Switch and the 3DS.

In a recent statement, Reggie stated:

“E3 is always a big time for Nintendo. We look at each E3 as a unique opportunity to tell our story. And we’re gonna have a big E3 this year. We’re going to be showcasing a variety of games… So I’m not gonna tell you all of the various games and all of our little secrets for E3, but I can tell you that E3 is going to be a major opportunity for us to showcase not only Nintendo Switch, but also content coming to Nintendo 3DS.”

If Nintendo keeps up with their latest E3 strategy, we can expect a whole lot of video game footage from the Nintendo Treehouse livestreams. Whether we see the return of a more traditional E3 Direct after last year’s absence, however, is anyone’s guess.
