Monster Hunter XX has only been out in Japan for a week but it’s already a success. Selling over 800,000 copies in its first weekend, it’s another testament to the popularity of the series in Japan. Along with those numbers comes its famous crossover promotions, and this newest one is all about punishing in the name of the moon.
Sailor Moon’s feline guide Luna will be available as a costume for Palicos, bringing along a Cutie Moon Rod for a weapon. While XX hasn’t been announced for a western release at this time, the continued success and growing popularity makes it likely. That said some of the crossovers have been less than successful when it comes to coming over due to rights issues on multimedia properties. Here’s hoping that if XX come’s along we’ll be able to fight evil by moonlight all the same.
