When Nintendo released the “DK Island & Emerald Rush” DLC for Donkey Kong Bananza last year, it included a number of time-limited events each month which granted players specific statues to decorate their islands with. For the past year, the assumption was that these statues would be lost forever if you missed the event, which is a shockingly common practice in gaming nowadays. Thankfully, that doesn’t seem to be the case, as Nintendo of Japan has announced on its website that these events will be returning to the game today.

As spotted by Go Nintendo, a new monthly rotation for unlocking these DLC statues will take effect starting October 1st, 2026 (today!). This rotation will run through September 2027, giving players another shot at finishing their collection of… well, collectibles. As with last time, everything lasts one month, so you’ll need to play the game during specific timeframes to unlock the statues you have missed. On the plus side, this new rotation will be running for the foreseeable future, meaning if you miss a statue, you’ll just need to wait a year to get it rather than freak out about missing it completely.

Anyway, here’s the schedule of events for Bananza’s DLC, which is the same as the first rotation:

  • October – Chip Fever
  • November – So Strong It’s Funny
  • December – Dig to the Beat
  • January – Freeze Break
  • February – Ostrich Riches
  • March – Unyielding Riches
  • April – Rattlin’ Snake Bananza
  • May – Kong Bananza Returns
  • June – Elephant Bananza Stampede
  • July – Bobbing for Baubles
  • August – Lagoon Dash
  • September – Bananza Antics
