Nintendo of America has updated its product safety page with four brand new amiibo safety certificates which could finally point to the long-awaited Cloud, Corrin and Bayonetta amiibo reveals that Nintendo fans have been waiting for.

Now, I know what you’re all thinking: How do we know these are Super Smash Bros. amiibo, and why the heck are there four certificates instead of three? Well, the answer to that question is a bit complicated, but for the brave of heart, you can see how we come to this conclusion below.

Each of the four amiibo have an item number that contains an AA, which would fall in-line with the item numbers in the Super Smash Bros. series. In comparison, all of the Breath of the Wild amiibo begin with an AK, while the Super Mario Bros. series begins with AB. We can also discern that these are not 2-packs or 3-packs as all previous CPSIAs for amiibo packs of two or more contain a 2 or a 3 in the third series of characters. Based on everything that we see in the item numbers leads us to believe that the four amiibo in question are single character Super Smash Bros. amiibo. This then begs the big question:

What is the mystery Smash amiibo? It’s difficult to say, but there’s been speculation for some time that if/when Super Smash Bros. is released for the Nintendo Switch, additional DLC characters could make their way along with it.

What additional character are you hoping for? Let us know in the comments below!

Long shot I know, but with the Recent Monster Hunter x Zelda crossovers, I’d really like to see someone from the MH series in smash!

I would love to see Sora in Smash, along with an announcement that KH3 will be in Switch since Unreal Engine 4 is supported. I can dream I guess.

Bomberman! With the recent Bomberman release and the fact that Nintendo came to Konami to make the new game I have to figure they’re on pretty good terms. Makes a lot of sense

It would be awesome to see Ray 01 from Custom Robo, Asuka from Senran Kagura, or Jin from Tekken.

I just want the Smash line to be over. Completing it was such a pain in the ass with all the short prints, store exclusives, and scalpers.

For the love of god, add Geno to the roster already!

But someone made a good point; it’s likely to be male/ female Corrin. Then again, only one gender of Robin was made, so I’m really not sure here.

Sorry, it’s Male and Female Corrin.

Also, Nintendo Switch is NOT getting a port of Smash Wii U. Wait 4 years and we’ll get the Switch version.

The fourth one is the bare foot waifu version of Corrin. Which IMO is far superior in design than her male counterpart. I think this does point to a Smash 4 Deluxe Switch version. Doesn’t make much sense from a business perspective to release amiibo for a game that is going on three years old on a dead console.

    Ice Climbers

The only reason Ice Climbers weren’t in Smash4 was because of the 3DS’ limitations, the Switch won’t have to worry about that. So, my guess Smash Bros announced at E3 for Switch, with all DLC included and Ice Climbers readded.

If Nintendo is porting Smash, why haven’t they announced it? They’ve announced a lot of games as they’re trying to sell their system.
