A new pair of videos have been uploaded by Sega to show off some new footage of the upcoming retro redux, Sonic Mania. The first is a look at Green Hill Zone with accompanying commentary by Sega’s Aaron Webber to explain some of the features and new elements of the game as a whole, and the stage itself. It’s great getting some insight to the stage, which includes a first look at Act 2 and how stages transition into each other à la Sonic 3.

For anyone not interested in the commentary, you can also watch Green Hill Zone Act 2 and have a listen to its music without dialogue. It’s familiar, but with some new flair that sounds like a remake of the stage’s soundtrack from Sonic Generations.

Sonic Mania will be available digitally for Nintendo Switch this spring.
