People have been tinkering with Switch hardware for a few days now, leading to a few new discoveries about the system and its peripherals. French Nintendo fansite Nintendo Actu has experimented with the system’s Joy-Con controllers on Windows and Android devices. In a similar vein, software engineer Sam Williams found out the devices work with Mac OS as well.

All of this is due to the controllers’ Bluetooth capabilities, which also allowed the Wii remote and other controllers to hook up to home computers. While the Joy-Cons don’t seem to be natively recognized, the utilization of JoyToKey to map buttons should allow anyone to play games with the controller(s), opening up many possibilities for utilization of the technology in the future.

Are you going to hook up your Joy-Cons with your computer? If so, what games or activities do you plan on using it for? Let us know in the comments.
