The official Japanese blog for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has provided gamers a look at the details of the game’s amiibo functionality.
While YouTube channel GameXplain provided information about amiibo functionality earlier this week, this is the first time Nintendo has directly confirmed what each figure does.
According to the blog, the Link (Archer) amiibo gifts players items like meat, fish, bows and arrows.
The Link (Rider) amiibo gives players items like mushrooms, weapons and horse tools.
The Zelda amiibo provides players with plants and shields.
Players who scan the Bokoblin amiibo will receive meat and weapons.
Finally, scanning the Guardian amiibo will gift the player “ancient materials” (as translated by Google Translate).
Additionally, the blog confirms compatibility with the Super Smash Bros. series of The Legend of Zelda amiibo, as well as all other amiibo.
Scanning a Super Smash Bros. Link, Zelda, Sheik, Ganondorf or Toon Link amiibo will grant users treasure chests, in which they’ll find special items.
Scanning any other amiibo will reward players with materials such as meat and fruit.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, along with its series of amiibo figures, will launch March 3rd.
