While the game was already confirmed to be coming to the platform, Nicalis has now teased the possibility of Indie action-platformer Cave Story being released on Switch, tweeting out a mockup of potential box art with a rather pointed “what if” question:

Given that Nicalis has ported Cave Story many a time to many a platform, it doesn’t seem outside of the realm of possibility that it might go a little further for the Switch release. Regardless of whether it’s physical or digital-only, however, Cave Story is a legendary title worthy of great praise and admiration, and as such should be bought on Switch by all those who have failed to yet play through such a wonderful experience.
