While the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild demo available at the Switch event seems to be very much the same as the Wii U demo from back at E3, there may be one extra feature that wasn’t discovered back then. This is potentially spoiler territory as it concerns how the story may be delivered, so be sure to click away now!

The above image can be found at the 18:20 mark in a recent GameInformer playthough video, and it depicts a “Memories” menu. While there’s no knowing what this could mean for certain, it’s likely this is how we’ll see the events of the past unfold, before Link was placed in a 100 year stasis. These scenes were especially prevalent in the last trailer where Hyrule looked like it was in a lot better shape.

Now if we speculate even further, the flower in the background has been sighted multiple times and it is even on the Master Sword statue that comes with the special edition of the game. Could players have to collect these flowers to unlock memories? We’ll just have to wait and see.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches alongside the Nintendo Switch on March 3rd, and it will also arrive hit Wii U on the same date.
