Well it’s time yet again for another round of Nintendo Switch rumors, although this time it’s from a previously accurate source. Laura Kate Dale, the Editor in Chief of Let’s Play Video Games who previously got several details regarding the Switch right just ahead of its reveal back in October.
First up is perhaps the biggest rumor of all – Mother 3 heading to the Switch Virtual Console in Q2 2017. The return of the Earthbound sequel is rumored pretty often, but given the release of Earthbound Zero in 2015 it might not be too far fetched.

Next is a seeming reversal on prior Breath of the Wild rumors. The game apparently will launch alongside the Switch, and the explanation behind the earlier mixed messaging is that only her European sources are stating a June release. This could mean a European delay, or that the Wii U version will be pushed back (as was the case with the GameCube version of Twilight Princess.)
Contrary to my past report on BOTW release date it is 100% coming at Switch launch in North America in March. Have seen finalised materials.

Finally, “more than one” print magazine has a Switch issue finalized, which likely means more information is out there which could lend more credibility in the week to come.
We’ll find out if these rumors hold true in a mere 10 days on January 12th. We’ll be sure to bring you live reporting of the event, so stay tuned!
