Next month will mark the first time the general public gets their hands on the hotly-anticipated Nintendo Switch, but it’s looking like it’ll be pretty difficult to get in, with Nintendo of America only allowing in a select few My Nintendo members and the company’s UK branch running a prize-draw. Fortunately those who miss out on these early hands-on previews may have another shot, at least in Japan and Australia.

For those in Japan the Switch will appear at the World Hobby Fair ’17 Winter, which takes place in 4 different cities across multiple weeks. Here are the dates and venues:

January 22 – Nagoya, Nagoya Dome
January 28-29 -Tokyo, Makuhari Messe
February 5 – Osaka, Kyocera Dome
February 12 – Fukuoka, Fukuoka Yahuoku! Dome

Australia will also see playable Switch’s at RTX 2017 on February 4-5 at the ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour.

There’s no word yet on any European or North American events but it almost seems inevitable now. PAX South seems like a safe bet, landing between January 27-29, but we’ll have to wait and see. Either way, we’ll be sure to bring you the latest updates as they come in.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
