Yet another Nintendo Switch rumor has been passed through the pipeline. According to a new report from Let’s Play Video Games, the Switch dock will increase the performance of the tablet, but the dock will not contain any additional processing power.

Instead, when the handheld unit is docked it will activate a small fan to help keep the console cool. This seems to mean that the machine isn’t enhanced while docked, but rather that it’s slightly limited while undocked to prevent overheating. The new report also states that the dock is incredibly cheap to produce, which will hopefully translate into a lower entry price point. Nintendo plans to eventually sell standalone docks so the Switch can be moved to different televisions around the house.

Nintendo will be revealing more about the Switch on January 13th, where all of these rumors will either be confirmed, or put to rest.
