Yesterday saw the upload of a short but exciting preview for Nintendo’s next system – the Switch. With the resulting hype and media coverage it’s no surprise the video got a lot of views, but the massive number is incredibly promising.

At the time of writing it has amassed 10,648,909 views, which is 1,319,361 more than its closest competitor – the E3 trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Considering the latter trailer has been around for over 4 months at this point it’s an impressive achievement.

For comparison, however, Nintendo still has some ways to go to catch up to Sony, as the PlayStation 4 announcement trailer has a whopping 32,839,783 views. Still, they’re neck and neck with the Xbox One S trailer, and are only going to keep getting views over the coming weeks and months.

Either way it shows that people are sharing the video and talking about the Switch, for better or worse.
