Over the weekend we learned of a special collaboration between Nintendo and Sanrio on a new set of Animal Crossing amiibo cards featuring the likes of Hello Kitty and friends. At the time all we knew was that Sanrio characters wouldn’t be new villagers; instead the cards would just unlock new furniture themed around them. Thanks to a new video, we have a close look at just what this furniture is.

It seems that by tapping the amiibo card you can check out a minivan emblazoned with the character in question, and inside it is a showroom with all of the new furniture. There are quite a few pieces that work nicely with already existing items, so it shouldn’t be too hard for Sanrio fans to make perfect themed rooms.

Unfortunately there’s still no word yet on whether or not the Sanrio cards will make it to the west, or if the cards will even be compatible with western copies of the game. Fans in Japan, however, will be able to pick up a pack on November 3rd for 300 yen.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
